EMC CEO Joe Tucci recently named "The Next Big Things in IT" as the Virtual Data Center, Cloud Computing, Virtual Clients and Virtual Applications.
Since EMC owns VMware, Tucci obviously has a vested interest in virtualization, but even allowing for a tendency to envision the future of Enterprise IT in a very EMC-centric way, one thing is certain: IT is moving towards virtualization and many infrastructure engineers are making the move to the cloud.
