JBoss Users Offered JetBrains IntelliJ

(May 13, 200) - Under terms of a co-marketing agreement between JBoss Group LLC and JetBrains, Inc., JetBrains has joined the JBoss Preferred Affiliates Program and will provide its set of intelligent development tools to the JBoss developer community. JBoss users will now be invited to experience the benefits of IntelliJ IDEA, Jetbrains' IDE for Java. IntelliJ IDEA comes with refactoring support, code editing assistance, and a Code Inspection tool.

"Both JBoss and JetBrains are rapidly gaining in popularity with Java developers, including those who understand the value of an open-source approach," said Scott Stark, CTO of JBoss Group. "This relationship gives developers a complete, best-of-breed solution for enhancing their productivity, while developing and deploying the best Java applications."

JBoss fully supports the J2EE 1.3 standard. It includes the basic EJB container and JMX infrastructure; JBossMQ for JMS messaging; JBossMX for mail; JBossTX for JTA/JTS transactions; JBossSX for JAAS based security; JBossCX for JCA connectivity; and JBossCMP for CMP persistence.
